Our Philosophy of Care

Our philosophy of care is based on six values to provide a high quality service which is tailored to meet the individual needs of all our service users, promoting independence through enablement:

Independence

We will endeavour at all times to promote independence of daily living skills enabling service users to reach their full potential.

Dignity

It is the right of all individuals to be treated with respect and to recognize their uniqueness regardless of circumstances. We believe that dignity is closely connected to a person’s self-worth.

Fulfilment

The company aims to ensure that the service users lead a fulfilled life within their care settings encouraging and supporting the service users to achieve and accomplish new skills thus giving a sense of hope and purpose to their lives.

Rights

Understanding of the fundamental rights of people regardless of disability. Staff are reminded of these rights to ensure that the service user’s rights are always preserved.

Choice

All service users have the right to make decisions and be able to select from as many options as possible. The staff gives the service users choices in everyday life and do not impose their own ideas and beliefs.

Privacy

The right of every individual to be left alone, free from disturbance, not only in their environment, but also in their private affairs.

Our staff team

Our homes have a full time registered Manager and Deputy responsible for all aspects of the residential care provided. Care staff is available throughout the day and at night experienced staff are on duty at all times with waking night and sleep in staff, depending on the needs of the client group. An emergency on-call system enables support at all times to staff and residents from senior management.

All our care staff have regular supervisions and appraisals and are encouraged to achieve an NVQ qualification. All the homes have a unit training plan and each member of staff has an individual training plan. There is regular in-house training sessions based on the actual needs of the service users to help our staff understand what they need to do to give the utmost support to our service users.
